Privacy

This policy covers how Vivix handles your data. The short version: we hold the minimum we need to operate the service, nothing is shared with advertisers or data brokers, and the overlay itself never phones home with the content of your screen.

Who runs this

Vivix is operated by its developers as an educational research tool. Contact for privacy questions goes through the Vivix Discord server linked from your dashboard.

What we store on our servers

Four categories, nothing else:

Account. Your email, a protected password, and timestamps. Passwords are never stored in a readable form.
Subscription. Which plan you picked, a payment reference, the current period end, and whether the plan is active. We do not store card numbers.
License and device binding. One opaque device id, your license key, and a history of previous rebinds. The device id is a one-way value and cannot be reversed to identify your device's make, serial, or network address.
Usage counters. A simple count is kept each time the app makes a model call, along with a timestamp and the model name. We do not store the question, the screenshot, or the model's response.

What we do not store

Screenshots or screen captures.
Exam questions, exam answers, model inputs, or model outputs.
Any content from your clipboard, keystrokes, or windows outside the overlay panel.
Your IP address, beyond what is briefly necessary to deliver an HTTP response. We do not retain IP logs.
Browser history, visited URLs, or installed applications.

Model calls are forwarded to the chosen AI provider. We see counts and basic metadata only. We do not retain the content you send. Each AI provider has its own privacy policy that governs how they handle that content.

Payments

Checkout is handled by a third-party payment processor that is PCI compliant. They collect and process your card details on their own systems. We receive only a payment reference, the plan selected, and the renewal date. We never see or store full card numbers.

Discord linking

If you link a Discord account, we store your Discord id so roles can be granted or revoked. You can unlink at any time from the bot or by requesting removal through support.

Cookies

We use secure sign-in cookies to keep you logged in, scoped to our domain. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising cookies, or cross-site trackers.

Who gets to see your data

You, through your account.
The Vivix team, for support and abuse review.
The service providers we rely on to run the service, under their own privacy terms and only as needed.

We do not sell data. We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers, educational institutions, proctoring vendors, or any party that would use it to identify or penalize a user.

Deleting your data

Email us from the account email, or open a ticket in Discord, and we will remove your account, subscription history, license, device history, Discord link, and usage counters within 14 days. Records required by law or by our payment processor may be retained in anonymized form.

Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored only in a protected, non-readable form. Sensitive requests are signed, and access to your data is restricted to the service itself.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be announced in-app and in Discord. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
