Terms

These terms govern your use of Vivix. By creating an account, paying for a plan, or installing the launcher you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Educational research

Vivix is distributed for educational and research purposes. You are responsible for using the tool in a way that complies with the policies of any institution or exam provider you interact with, with your local laws, and with the honor code of any course you are enrolled in.

Your account

One person per account. Share your login or your license key and we will revoke access without refund. You are responsible for keeping your email, password, and license key private.

Hardware binding

Each license is bound to one Mac at a time. You may request a rebind from your dashboard or through the Discord bot. The soft cap is two approved rebinds per rolling thirty days. We review requests manually to deter license sharing, but we try to approve legitimate requests the same day.

Subscriptions, cancellation, and refunds

Plans are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel at any time through the dashboard or with /cancel in Discord. Cancellation stops the next renewal and access continues through the end of the period you already paid for.

Because the overlay and its payloads are downloaded immediately after purchase and are not possible to return, we generally do not issue refunds for completed billing periods. If something clearly broke on our end, open a ticket and we will make it right.

Plan expiry

When a plan ends, access stops and the local app files are removed from your Mac on the next launch. This is a feature, not a bug. Nothing stays behind after your access ends. You can re-enable at any time by picking a new plan.

What we do not promise

• Vivix is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind.
• We do not guarantee that the overlay stays hidden on every version of every proctor on every macOS build. The behavior it relies on could change at any time.
• We do not guarantee that AI model answers are correct. Treat them as suggestions.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Outages, maintenance, and emergency rollbacks can and do happen.

What you agree not to do

• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Vivix app or any of its components in any form.
• Reverse engineer, repackage, or modify the Vivix app except for personal study on hardware you own.
• Use the overlay to defraud or harm another person, including on exams that require written attribution of your own work.
• Attempt to abuse the service, including by bypassing device binding, sharing codes, or scraping the service.

Violations end your access without refund. In serious cases we may also contact your payment provider.

Takedowns and disputes

If you believe something hosted or shipped by Vivix infringes your rights, email the Vivix admins from a contact we can verify. Include the material in question, where it lives, and the specific claim. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Legal disputes are resolved by binding arbitration where that is lawful, and otherwise in a court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing in this clause waives rights that cannot legally be waived.

Limit of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Vivix is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for loss of grades, exams, enrollment, employment, or reputation arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced in-app and in Discord. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the new terms.
